I haven’t even knit Lu’s #HazbinHotelS2 sweater yet and now there’s all these amazing knit designs for the holidays‽

But the rest of the hotel crew’s and the Vees’ knitwear is pretty great, too.

I love all these fun designs!
Alastor has a sweater with his radio demon face on it. Lucifer’s sweater features an apple, snakes, ducks, pentagrams and the word DADDY. Vaggi and Charlie are in a couples sweater with snowmelt and the sleeves are Christmas trees. Angel’s knit dress has the same heart cutout as his top in s2, with a ribbon bow around his waistline like a present, and with the same ribbon striping going down his four sleeves. Husk’s sweater features a cat and trees. Baxter’s is hard to see but has a crab on it. Cherri has a sweater with Christmas lights and explosions with hearts inside. Niffty’s has flames on the bottom, with gingerbread men and knives, and some wreaths on the sleeves and some bows along the neckline. Razzle has a black sweater with some red hearts on the bottom and some scale patterning in white. There’s something red on the front but it’s not clear what it is. Vox has a sweater with Shok.wav on the front with a Santa hat on, the word SHARK on the sleeve, and some snowflakes. Vel has a short bodycon red knit dress with long sleeves and bare shoulders, with small white pompoms all over, and a column of hearts down the right side. Val’s short red bodycon red knit dress has fur trim along the off-the-shoulder neckline and hemline, with a heart cutout on the chest and more heart motifs in a column under that, and a column of cables on either side, and snowflakes and hearts on the sleeves in white.

Y’all, this vanity was put up in our Buy Nothing group today, and it is proof that Hazbin has rotted my entire brain. Of course my first thought was that it looked similar to Alastor’s. The mirror’s shape in particular got me. I don’t have any room for it, but it is really pretty! #HazbinHotelS2
A pretty vanity someone in my neighborhood is giving away. It was already edited for privacy before they posted, but I edited it some more to be extra sure. There’s a cute cat in the mirror’s reflection though. Alastor’s vanity. I still love Niffty’s crown hanging on it. Oh and he’s drinking and smoking and his injured chest is in view. It’s a gorgeous shot.

Oct 19: I don’t have a dream cosplay for Hazbin rn; instead I’ll share my current dream project I’m still planning logistics. I made this machine knit design of Charlie & I want to do a sweater, but I want her centered in the front and her hair to wrap around to the back panel. Can you picture it?
A pic of my machine knit chart for Charlie from the intro of s1e1, where she’s in white silhouette holding a heart, and her hair is blowing to the side instead an ombre that turns pink at the ends. The background is red and I used the library to print this in color instead of greyscale to see it better when I work the pattern. It’s reversed from the final image, since knitting machines knit with the wrong side facing you as you work. It’s almost as wide as my machine bed, and it’s going to be a beast of a project even if I was just making it as a square for a pillow or wall hanging or something, but I want it to be a sweater with the graphic wrapping around to the back. I have a lot to figure out about its construction before diving into actually attempting it, so it remains a dream project for now…

The perfect color for Alastor’s skin tone in S2 was on clearance at Michael’s today. My previous purchase was from earlier this year, and since I haven’t gotten around to making anything Alastor related yet, I can now do so with a more appropriate color going forward!

Two yarn skeins posed next to something white to help get an accurate picture. The one on the left I bought earlier this year color matched to a screenshot of Alastor’s skin tone from season 1. The color is called “off-white” btw. The one on top is the one I got today, called “truffle,” and yes, I did open up bsky in the store to check a screenshot from the trailer to confirm it was a good match before buying! Much better! Can’t wait to do an Alastor-themed craft soon! The screenshot from season one I used to buy Alastor-colored yarn when Joann was going out of business earlier this year. The screenshot from the season two trailer I used to check skin tone color before buying the skein on clearance at Michael’s today.

I blame all you fantastic #RadioApple authors who talk about Alastor’s special coffee recipes. Found roasted ground chicory root in the bulk food section of a grocer I don’t usually patronize. Bought a small amount to try with coffee. Looking forward to trying something new! ☕️

Here’s my progress on a machine knit design for that screencap from the #HazbinHotel s2 teaser. I really want to see some BAMF Lucifer this season; this image is so exciting! I may need to make tweaks to this as I get into it for logistical reasons, but I like the overall shape of the pose!

9 months ago I made a machine knit top based off what I called dreamer Luci from episode 1 of #HazbinHotel that I wore to meet the VAs who came to FanExpoPDX. The s2 teaser screencap is begging for similar treatment, and I’m sorely tempted. I love the juxtaposition of these two images! #Lucifer

A fit of motivation came over me yesterday to pick up this project again, and I finished sewing snek!Luci this morning. I decided to nix facial features except for the yellow sclera and red pupils, and of course the tongue blep. He turned out a bit lumpy but I like him.

I’m so pleased with my Vees Pride tee alteration project! I loved the back so much I wanted it as a front. I turned the back into a tank while the orig has a new back & is now cropped a bit. Both are quite comfortable & I’m very happy with my results! Made from all reused materials except the tee!
Frontside of the Vees Pride tee from Hot Topic, altered to be a little shorter. Backside of my altered Vees Pride tee from Hot Topic, with a blue static patterned fabric I pieced together from some old leggings. I kept the neck and sleeves from the original shirt, but the original back is now the front of its own top! Frontside of my new tank, taken from the backside of the Vees Pride tee from Hot Topic. I liked it too much to be on the backside, so now it’s its own top! Backside of my new tank, patchworked from old tees and leggings in a pride flag themed stripe of colorblocking down the middle and with panels on either side that look like static. I used the static print for the collar as well. I like it so much it could be worn as the front, but the whole point of this project was to showcase the original tee’s backside on the front of a new top. 🤣

I’ll get back to my snek Luci plush and my Charlie needlepoint soon, but I’m currently working on turning the double-sided #HazbinHotel Vees Pride tee from Hot Topic into two separate tees, because I love the VoxTech rainbow capitalism logo on the backside waaay too much to leave it as the back.
The backside of the Hazbin Hotel Pride Vees tee, with the VoxTech logo in rainbow colors and “trust us with your pride” written on it, surrounded by various scraps of old tees and leggings that I’m using to plan new backsides for making the two-sided tee into two separate shirts. I have all colors of the rainbow except for yellow, but I have some beige leggings with yellow flowers I could use. Also some leggings with a static look to them in blue and in grey, so I might use those. It’s a work in progress!

I’ve been working on a snek Luci for the last week based on a cholyknight.com pattern. Seeing Amir hold a snake named Lucifer as a result of hitting a fundraiser milestone is good motivation to keep going! Thanks for supporting abortion, Amir! I love this fandom sm; keep doing good things, y’all!

These are from earlier today, just after assembling all the body parts, but before I stitched on the eyes and did the stitching details. It’s incredible how the stitches really bring the little guy to life!

A little late but we didn’t have time to make a cake until today:

#AceAlastorWeek2025 Day 4: Cake Day!

I’m not an artist or a writer, but my kiddos have seen @bluekoinu.bsky.social’s AceCakeAlastor from my calendar & they wanted to replicate the cake for Int’l Asexuality Day! We had loads of fun!
A circle layer cake with one slice taken out so you can see the inside. There are four layers in the color and order of the ace pride flag. There are sprinkles on the top and the frosting is white. The black layer is chocolate flavor with black food coloring. The grey layer is vanilla flavor with black food coloring, but it turned a little purpley in the batter. The white is almond flavor. The purple is ube flavor and is a very dark, rich purple that didn’t come out as well in the photo. The cake is staged so that it looks like the Alastor sticker that is on my carafe is leaning on the cake and looking like he wants to devour it. There is also a Fizzarolli sticker visible on the carafe. Fizzie sticker is from @yasaeh.bsky.social! Alas, I cannot find the info for artist who made the Alastor sticker; I got him in Artists Alley at FanExpoPDX. Kiddos helped make the cake and they love the taste! Progress pic of my #HazbinHotelCharlie needlepoint. I’m about halfway done & she’s mostly just looking depressed atm. Once I get to the heart, I think the solemn hope feeling will come out more. I’m less confident in my color choices now, but it’s just for decompressing & serving that purpose well.
The plastic canvas is half full of my cross stitched version of Charlie from Hazbin Hotel. She’s looking sad with downcast eyes and a frown. The hair is supposed to look like it’s fading into the background, and the transition isn’t finished being stitched yet. Close up of the stitching, showcasing the three stitch types I’ve done already. Background is a gradient of reds and is done in the oblique Gobelin stitch; the face is in black and it as well as the peach-pink of the underside of the bangs of the hair is done in cross stitch (but the details are stitched in reverse direction from the face); and the hair in burgundy is done in web stitch, which from afar doesn’t look much different but up close you can see the woven texture of this stitch.

Update on the Alastor poppet project: two shots from the past week. The first was from Sunday, and the second I took this morning but I haven’t worked on it in a few days because I accidentally overworked my hands - this project is too fun and it’s turning out more cute than I expected!
The black stretch velvet pieces are all cut and partially sewn and stuffed. The arms are not yet attached, and the horns aren’t either; they’re just positioned near the head, which is cut and sewn but not stuffed yet. The head is now stuffed, and the fabric for the eyes and mouth are cut and positioned, but not yet sewn. Horns and arms are also awaiting stitching. I had to take a break for a few days because I was overworking my hands.
