Canada made weird tv shows because it was all being done with government funded art grant money so they fell in this wacky middle ground between “shoestring budget” and “no expectation to generate shareholder value” which is really the best way to make art

The internet's weird, because if you don't post anything people think you're dead, but if you start talking about things you MIGHT do videos about people obsessively buy up copies of said thing. So it's like this attention economy where you cant bring attention to things until they're ready.

right before going to bed, a nice person from a printing company reached out to me (i hadn't seen their dm in 7 days because instagram hides message requests) and offered to send me some care package because they like my work on the shoujo tsubaki vid, that was very humbling

met my daily writing goal so i decided to continue writing a bit, met tomorrow's daily goal early too. looked at my notes, none of them were used so i just spend each day adding more without ever lowering my amount of notes. this script will prolly end up at 16k words wtf...

i get a lot of dm's asking questions like will i cover x/y/z and the answer is always ; i don't know. i like to keep people on their toes and guessing because to me variety in coverage is more important than a niche. i don't like the idea of doing the same thing multiple times

Talking about lost media is often a no win situation. Do you raise awareness, or tell nobody & just try to save something anonymously? I've seen anime get hoarded just because I mentioned it once. Hundreds of people hoping I'll by a Laserdisc for $500. I'm poor. NOBODY wins.
