I separated each gore in Photoshop, adjusted the colors individually for consistency, removed the yellowing, and then stitched them back together before printing.

You might wonder—how does a historical globe fit under the “My Data” theme?

When examining the original atlas, you’ll notice inconsistencies in color across the 24 gores—some are more blue, some more green—and yellowing along the equator from age.
