This is truly a very sad time in America. Great scientific minds are one of the things that made America great. The world looked up to us for our innovation and speed of new discoveries, I simply fail to understand why the feds would strip research of funds while increasing spending on weapons

Our country falling behind other countries as researchers seek more scientific supportive countries in which to carry on with their research. Soon America will be vying for last place with a socially isolated tribes in the Amazon that still use spears to hunt.

Private funds are bad enough the real consequence that I fear is a brain drain that will occur when the top scientific minds are recruited by other countries.
