This girl has been waiting so long to see @durrymusic.bsky.social and tonight is finally here!

Look for us up front if you want a bracelet while she still has some!

For anyone going to see @durrymusic.bsky.social this Friday in Philly, my awesome daughter will be giving out bracelets she made!

Psst, if anyone in the band wants one, she said she would love to give you one

Time for another reading (this time with notes!)

Overview episode to be recorded this weekend

Shamefully, I’ve not read this before. I’m three chapters in and adore its prose and ambience. I can definitely see Pynchon being influenced by her and can’t wait to keep going through this book

Quite an enjoyable retelling of the tale. Sendak has always been one of my favorite illustrators and King even managed to tie it into the Dark Tower universe

On my way to see OBAA tonight, I stopped by a bookstore and found this for $5

Take some time to listen to this masterpiece of an album today. You’ll thank yourself

This one is gonna stick with me for a while. A tremendous critique of the horrors of both industrialized farming and late-stage capitalism. Highly recommended, but be warned it is extremely unsettling in its portrayal of violence

Got myself a new shirt over the weekend

Been reading this in bits and pieces over the last several weeks and am really enjoying it. I’ve discovered a treasure trove of new bands as a result and some great writers

Forgot to add these two

I would say this is a pretty good Bookstore Crawl haul. Already looking forward to next year!

Found a bookstore in Newark, DE called 2nd & Charles that had a sale where used books were one penny per page. This whole stack cost me less than $40

Coffee, a great book, and a beautiful skyline. Perfect start to a morning

Recording our next episode tonight unless this one decides to stay on my lap too long

Just finished my second journey to the Tower and it was every bit as good as the first.

Say what you will about Sai King, the man can craft quite the tale and made some of the best characters in fiction, full stop.

Long days and pleasant nights

Given recent bullshit, the timing for getting this was perfect

Haven’t had time to read amidst all the chaos in my life over the last few months, but this is the perfect book to break out of my slump. If you haven’t any read @sgj.bsky.social, the Indian Lake Trilogy is a perfect entry point (My Heart Is A Chainsaw/Don’t Fear the Reaper/The Angel of Indian Lake)
