If anyone has a source for the history of commercial machining or machine shops in the US in the 20th century, I would sure appreciate learning what that is. Google and Jstor came up with nothing, and the only NR nominations I can find are for railroad shops, not commercial businesses. TIA!

Now that I work full-time writing National Register nominations, I've decided on a life goal of 100 listed resources (as the author or co-author). Currently working on #s 26-28.
