To be fair, Montreal and Toronto both have 30+ km of underground paths to make walkability independent of the weather.

Is it Sunday yet?

"Man or bear" blew up, but the real question should be "Goose or bear"?

Some people like socialism that doesn't stop at national borders. We're all in this together.

I'm sorry. You're stuck in the gears of the system, and it wasn't meant to be a commentary on you, but that the former Americans that choose to start over, even a new career, even doing minimum wage jobs (C$17.20/hr here), are mostly more of that character. You deserve better.

It might be too late to stop this cycle, but it's never too late to mitigate the damage; never too early to build new support networks of mutual aid. Those who should stay and fight on. Those most targeted and downtrodden should know that there is always another option to thrive, not just survive.

That sounds like you're talking from a place of privilege. I didn't mention packing. I've been homeless for nearly two months now, but I live in a country where the majority of bankruptcies aren't from medical debt. Some people don't have anything to pack except what they can carry on their back.

Turtle Island is a big place with many countries. From the start, the US decided indigenous people do not count, and black people only count 60%. Ignorance has been encouraged to keep the population pliable and exploitable. I've hoped for an enlightened USA, but then they elect the Bushes and Trump.

It takes courage, not money, to give up your social network.

Prices came down during the Great Depression, but wage income fell even further. It doesn't matter if eggs cost $1.50 a dozen when you're unemployed.

I thought they had one already called the USA. The smart/compassionate ones emigrate. At least, the American immigrants that I meet seem to understand basic concepts that we're stronger together.

He doesn't have the power by himself, and Jagmeet Singh should prefer the conditions that doesn't result in a CPC majority.
