Commissioned by @grimnyr.bsky.social during the Summer Colors event. This piece was a fun challenge, and I'm proud of the end results, even if posting was delayed due to some irl events.

Katsuro comes from Grim's personal sandbox, a universe with delightful world building and divine dragon.

The man wears his long red hair up in a combination of braids and loose hair, tied back in a bun with a long, flowing tail. The wind whips it back, with snow frosting the edges of the canvas and casting him in a frosty light. One golden eye is visible and casts a faint golden glow, highlighting his features while he glares down at the viewer with one arm extended, flickering with recently discharged electrical sparks. His armor is simple in is color scheme; he wears mostly black, with a red sash and crushed opal inlays accenting his attire.

They were bald in the original sketch drafts.......... often this is happening. Also! A small bit of the line art was erased during the coloring stage. It was helpful in reminding me of how intense Aurel's expression was, but disrupted the painting stage with the harshness of it.

And that's it!
Image of the initial drafts for the sketch. The image composition changes dramatically between the two, as the top still shows the Qunari's back straight and the Elf is gripping his lapels, but not dragging him down like in the bottom. The bottom draft is the one to have made it to the final pass, as the included motion perfected the image as opposed to the stiffness of the top draft.
