I’m a Canadian gal who enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, reading, gardening and good times with friends. 🙂
On Christmas Eve we should care about these men.

Murder seldom promotes anything but excessive anger, violence and extremes. I tend to be a “left wing” gal, and I sure as heck don’t condone snipers. I promote free speech, decency and care. We need so much more of that.

I have always admired her so very darned much. I wish her all the very best. She’s a brilliant giver.

I have mixed feelings about monarchy in relation to us in Canada, but I have always admired our king’s environmental concerns. Right now, with Mr. Brassy Crass running the show south of the border I find myself loving the idea of a visit from our royals. 🥰

It’s so demoralizing what that DOGE committee is doing. It just seems so very crazy. Trump really is destroying America. 🙁

My Mom is in a care home now, but she’s always determined to make the best of things. She really wants it to warm up so she can get out with her walker. Her mind is pretty sharp, but she can’t do math anymore. She reads books, but can’t do banking. I admire her determination. I won’t make it to 93.

My sister Bev (3 years older than me) is dealing with heart trouble and has to have open heart surgery soon. She’s on a waiting list. She gets extremely tired. I just hope she doesn’t have a heart attack while she’s waiting. Sigh.

I spent a lot of time outside this winter which I found easier when it was actually cold (well like -5 a -10C here), but now everything is dirty and the snow is taking too long to melt. Today it’s supposed to snow again. There are birds returning and I’m sure they don’t appreciate it either.

Ya, I discovered there is a word count. I tended to write long messages but I’m glad we can just write more messages if we run out of space. Your English is fine (and I imagine you speak French most of the time?). I don’t have dementia yet, but I know I struggle with depression.

I’m reading Demon Copperhead at the moment. I can’t put it down. Barbara Kingsolver is such a master at characterization.

My son’s cat Orion. I call him puppy cat. Bengal/Siamese cross. He’s soooo engaging!
