We also discuss 5 more general scientific recommendations to which researchers of unconscious processing should pay particular attention, and 9 outstanding issues on which the current state of knowledge makes it impossible to provide a clear recommendation👇

In our paper, we delve into the critical methodological issues for accurately assessing unconscious processing🧠
We present a list of 10 key recommendations for studies of unconscious processing - covering the design, analysis and reporting of future experiments.

Notably, it currently focuses mainly on studies exploring semantic processing and attentional capture; though we intent to expand it in the future.
I want to thank @francoisstock95 and @Liad_Mudrik for leading this project with me!🙏
Thank you all for all of the hard work🙌

Users of the website can generate their own queries, explore trends in unconscious processing research, inspect how the results might be modulated by the methodological choices, generate plots, download them as well as the data, and upload their own papers to the database.

Providing a bird’s eye view of methods and their relation to findings, the database is crucial in a field relying on diverse methods—often a source of conflicting results. To date, no consensus exists on the extent and scope of unconscious processing
