I feel you! It's hard to dismantle a tower of beliefs that have been pushed down our throats in the last 10/15 years at least. You always sound like a lunatic yelling at a cloud, or a paranoid geek.

IMHO there is no difference but the language of the entity that is monitoring and collecting data. In the west there's a deep connection between big tech companies and governments, but this is kept out of sight. The Chinese government does the same, but in plain sight.

There is control, influence, data collection and some form of "censorship" on (almost) any platform we use. If all of this comes from a US-owned capitalist company with their tongue up government's arse it's all ok, but when it's a Chinese firm it's shown as a supervillain. But they do the same shit

Then I follow maybe the first two points, or totally forget about their existence.

It might be frustrating or challenging having to deal with our strangely wired brains, but there is always a way! And when in doubt ask your partner and at the same time tell them how you are feeling, without making them feel judged. That helps a lot.

As an ADHDer myself, with a neurodivergent girlfriend I agree 100% with everything Adrian said. Those are perfect examples.

The best approach in my case is to propose to finish a task together and/or propose some kind of treat for when the task is done. We are dopamine-driven, so we always need a reason to do something.
