Day off at O’Brian State Park, MN 😄

Back in the states after a 10-day trip to Peru and Uruguay. Great to see family and friends, and to give an in-person lecture of the course I’m teaching at PUCP and start new connections in both countries. It is incredible to see the passion, skills, and potential of students from these countries!

Last Thursday, I got the chance to give an in-person lecture of my virtual course as I briefly visited PUCP. It was wonderful to meet the students in person and look forward to more opportunities like this.

Just finished submitting a grant proposal to NIH. So far, it has been 4 proposals submitted this year, 2 in Peru and 2 to NIH as either PI or Co-I. Let’s hope for the best.

Just finished a lab solving a problem with some students…. It turns out the problem was the difference between “ and ‘’. 🤯

Happy to share that I will be teaching a course on the Design of Analog Integrated Circuits at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru - PUCP. It has remote lectures (students are in Peru, I am teaching from the US), in-person laboratory sessions (i.e., simulation assignments), and design project.

In the spirit of sharing the journey, last month, we #OpenIC together with #ElectronicaPUCP submitted two proposals in Peru, one internal and one external, about integrated circuits and microelectronics. Crossing fingers for the next few months!

First boot… so far so good. I was able to get to the UEFI setup utility. All components are powered and recognized. The GPU is powered, but I have not seen it yet in the utility. Now some cable management and time to close the computer case.
