AKA Reverend Riot; Roller derby, Brewers, baseball, scorecards, national parks. Now in New Father edition!
Wasn’t Rhys Hoskins this past season a mutual option?

Literally any team could’ve afforded Ohtani. He comes with a plethora of broadcast deals and sponsorships that pay his salary before he takes a swing. Plus the increase in ticket sales and jersey sales, etc. He went where he wanted to go.

Brewers don’t have an organist.

Yes, teams from one division make it when other teams do worse, that’s how this works. Do you think the NL central is having games where both teams get to count a win? If not then those wins came from beating teams outside the “terrible” division.
October 26, 2025 at 10:28 AM
This. People act like with a salary cap cities like LA and NYC wouldn’t be more attractive to play in than Milwaukee or Cleveland. That those teams wouldn’t continue to attract the biggest name players.
October 21, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Even more so as they continue and continue to expand the playoffs.
October 19, 2025 at 9:11 PM
But isn’t that what the pennant used to be? You have the most wins in your league, you win the pennant and the two pennant winners get to play in the WS to see what would happen.

Then they added playoffs, and now making it through the semi-finals gets its own award. The pennant should be as it was.

I got to see them twice this year, opening day at Yankees, and home opener that was their fourth loss in the first four games ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so it goes

Hoping we see the Jays in the WS

And they set a franchise record for wins. This is the best #Brewers team we’ve seen, I really believe that, and they’re young.

Give them some time together, extend some contracts, they’re not Average Joes anymore.

And if anyone thinks they disappointed #Ueck , I don’t think so.

A salary cap will not make anything better. It will only let billionaires keep even more of the money the players are making for themselves. ANY team could afford Ohtani, only two or three were ever truly in the running.
October 18, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Same thing happened in last year’s post-season, and if I had to guess it’s the result of so many young players, so many first and second year players. Blinded by the lights.
October 18, 2025 at 2:22 AM
The two games they lost to the Cubs were the Cubs playing small-ball. The announcers even said that every year three-true-outcome teams start playing a different style of ball (aka small ball).

We went cold up at the same time we faced THE dominant rotation of the sport.
October 18, 2025 at 2:18 AM
And we’re gonna get one. Because no matter what else the owners will use this to “prove” the need exists.

As though capping salaries is going to make Milwaukee or Cincinnati more appealing to a superstar compared to LA or NYC.
October 18, 2025 at 1:53 AM
They were literally one hit away from winning at the end of game one.
October 18, 2025 at 1:36 AM
That’s really the thing. Security needs to show some discretion, and other fans need to speak up. Cursing at her is deserved if she’s behaving this way. So sorry he has that experience.
October 16, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Same reason it’s always the middle aged bald/shaved head with his sunglasses on in his pickup truck. They stereotype themselves.
October 16, 2025 at 6:15 PM
I wasn’t even responding to you?
October 14, 2025 at 3:39 AM
If were gonna be reductive, two Cubs players welcomed Charlie Kirk onto the field and took photos with him. Cubs fans love the Cubs players, including those players. Cubs fans hate Brewers fans. So by extension Brewers fans are Antifa?

Or again, no group is monolith.
October 14, 2025 at 3:14 AM
I think there can be positive reasons, is all
I’m saying. Storylines you like, approaches you appreciate, stuff like that? You want to hate MAGA, for sure, there are actual players and teams you can hate for that. EG Rangers still refuses to host a pride night.

1) Like a lot of people I use aggregators on BSky, so when you mention sports teams a lot of people see your posts that wouldn’t otherwise. Change settings if you don’t want those people engaging with you.

2) may be, but you can’t so arbitrarily dismiss everyone from half the country politically.
October 14, 2025 at 1:50 AM
Nobody’s whole state voted any direction. This is such a dumb take.

I’m in NY, btw.
October 14, 2025 at 1:40 AM
And the Guggenheim Partners ownership group absolutely voted Trump and exemplify capitalism, but so does Brewers’ ownership because all Billionaires do.

Maybe politics aren’t the determining factor for sports team loyalties?
October 14, 2025 at 1:36 AM
Reminder to anyone not cheering for the Brewers, Milwaukee absolutely DIDN’T vote Trump, and was the first major city to have a socialist Mayor. Wisconsin is also the only state with an NFL team that is publicly owned, and the only reason we have any idea what NFL clubs’ finances look like.
