Also helps to live. Make art of your own life. Be the protagonist. Be the side character. A fly on the wall, the cocoon, the butterfly. A leaf that falls, the setting sun. A stone in a burbling creek. The shadow of a tree. The fog that disappears by noon over a harvested field. A breath out. A song.

Working on a feature film script. Quiet day, except for the dramatic battles raging in my mind’s eye 🤓

Usually means price will be high and they want an opportunity to gather data and/or unleash their sales department on you. But, in many cases someone somewhere will have posted the pricing on an unofficial site or discussion group. At least in tech, the price ranges can usually be found.

I’d guess the situation between you two was imbalanced before, but you’ve since reconfigured your relationship so you’re both comfortable. Cats sense that stuff. They also tend to channel whatever psychic currents are in the room. If you are at peace with each other, cats are at ease.

Try prune juice. I hear it’s a true warrior’s drink. Add a targ bristle or two. The brew should restore a fearsome scowl worthy of your house’s honor in no time.

Where is it available? Nothing came up on a quick search.

I’ve heard a triple butt crack is considered irresistible in some parts of the Delta quadrant. Especially if you can make it (them?) clap.

2025 will be a year much in need of honorable warriors. There is a vital difference between blind loyalty and acting with impeccable integrity. The latter can only be vetted by one’s inner compass, bending the rules as spirit demands. May we all step onto the path with heart in the new year. Kaplah!

I can report that moving to the US from Europe caused me to be temporarily fascinated with all the products available here. Until I saw how many were designed in wasteful, shortsighted ways. I’ve since redesigned my life around sustainability, building things . I find this immensely more satisfying.

My whole kitchen is electric. Induction burners, Suvies, kettle, InstantPot, oven. Had to do a bit of circuit juggling to get everything connected without overloading. That done, it all works fine. But many US homes don’t have the available circuits to run a rig like mine: takes 7 20amp circuits.

Some of it is silly, but most of your posts are about things that matter. Your posts are brave. Some people (or bots) thrive on perpetuating conflict. Do what you need to do to protect yourself. But please know that we appreciate your presence here. Thank you for pitching your ideas into this space.

From what I’ve read, the US, UK and Australia have much more peanut allergies compared to the rest of the world. Here’s an article about related research. I learned about this in Dr. Greger’s nutrition books. His team aggregates clinical studies.

Why was there a spike in peanut allergies in the early 2000s? — Prevent Food Allergies
Learn how recent landmark clinical studies show that introducing peanut to babies early and often is key to preventing peanut allergies.

Agape. Not English, but the word I use when I mean the selfless love that binds communities and gets one stranger to help another. The love that frees, has room, the opposite of posessive and destructive eros. That English doesn’t differentiate between these polar opposites speaks volumes.

I usually do. Hopefully the collateral of my ignorance in this instance will be that someone else learns more about this as a result.

I do know what botulism is, but was not aware it can be found in honey. I made an assumption that honey was not recommended for babies because of the other things it contains that their immune system might not be prepared for. Like pollen. Now I know.

Yup - that makes sense then. Many natural things definitely contain poisons and just because something is natural that doesn’t make it inherently safe. There needs to be a balance between the old ways and the new. Each has advantages.

Botulism isn’t a food. Apparently, keeping kids away from peanut butter did result in a great increase in the incidence of peanut allergies in the US. Not saying give kids under a year old honey, but lack of peanut exposure did appear to cause trouble for many. More research maybe?

Yea. The walls were there long before they started building physical barriers. Just ask anyone with a passport not in the zones of mutual trust. Life is not the same for citizens of this planet born outside the US or Europe. Everything changes with that privileged passport. Speaking from experience.
