Metal Sonic, like any of the main ensemble, contains immense writing potential. To explore what it's like through the lens of his visor, and to see him garner more emotions, whether in favor of his master or a potential friend like Amy, can make for a distinct story. His design is also just *mwah*

For me, there's charm to be found in a cold machine designed to replicate a boisterous, warm-blooded character like Sonic. Metal may portray some of the signature gestures, like his finger wag, but he's a pragmatic imitation. Seeing his AI evolve to have ego fascinates me.

Gooseworx, for a while before directing TADC, has exuded a taste for “cute” balanced with “deranged,” whether it be horror or just humor. I believe that’s the most skeletal appeal.
