White traditional women were NEVER forced to return to work. The Equal Rights Amendment was largely squashed by the work of a privileged white female attorney, Phylis Schafly. She convinced white women the ERA would force them into the work force. 4)

It was in the late 1960's when white middle class moms went to work that families purchased a 2nd car, took a nice vacation, & bought a bigger home. Women were happier working part or full time too. It was in the 70's that women obtained the right to establish credit in their name. 3)

Post-WWII the GI Bill funded predominantly white men's post-HS educations & housing loans. Black Veterans were largely excluded from gov't benefits. Black, Latino and poor white women continued to work out of necessity. It was not until the late 60's and 70's women began to work again. 2)

Post-Civil Rights Act - Southern and racist whites Democrats switched to GOP.

Today: This GOP is neither Republican or Democratic. They are racist, sexist, xenophobic authoritarian. They don't love the Post-Civil Rights American, but love Jim Crow and women have no rights America.

A family member is Korean-American. I worry about her. She lives in neighborhood with many East European immigrants who kicked ICE out of their community. By the ways, the protectors include police and firefighters.

One of my neighbors are Chinese immigrants. Their elderly mom lives with them & she takes her toddler aged granddaughter for walks. When I saw an empty stroller, I ran outside fearful ICE had taken her away. Thankfully, she & her grandchild were walking slowly. I exhaled.

The arrogant SCOTUS majority will shield Trump and gang. If Kamala Harris or Joe Biden were President, SCOTUS would do the opposite. Justice Roberts intimated in court his true intentions of ruling one way for Trump and another for a future President.

I have many friends who came here as refugees seeing religious freedom or to support their families in war torn or authoritarian nations. They believe in a country that celebrates our immigrant past, follow the rule of law & studied our constitution. They love the US more then Trump, Noem, & MAGA.
