I left Puerto Rico a little over a week before Hurricane Maria devastated the island. 3 years later, the damage done to the Arecibo Observatory caused the massive radio telescope to collapse. I got to see it, but I still mourn its loss.

I would like to clarify that art is not a luxury. Purchasing art is a luxury, yes, but art as an act of creation is not. I need you to hear me when I say, art is something anyone can do. Anyone. It is instinctual. Capitalism is new, but art is ancient, it's in our blood.
