Those look very familiar to danish vanilla wreaths - a very popular, "grandma always made these" esque cookie here in Denmark. Though we do them in circles.

Interesting numbers. And yeah - In Scandinavia debit vs credit is rarely a concern. It's all Visa/MC so operates the same in practice, as long as you're not overdrafting. :)

What? I've had the exact opposite experience. Is this a German thing? Heh.
Most Scandinavian countries are essentially cash free, and everyone either has NFC payments via their phones from Visa/MC or various mobile payment apps.
