Hope this helps. Comparing two designs based on the same animal. krookodile looks more organic, skeledirge is too polygonal with lots of edges forming its shapes. None is wrong, I'm just pointing design personal preferences.

It has a lot of edges and symmetric round shapes. It looks more like a box sculpted to resemble a crocodile. In this particular case, a musical instrument, if i'm not mistaken. Do you get what I mean?

Hi Pew, older fan here. Skeledirge doesn't appeal to us, because it doesn't read as an organic creature at all. However we know pokemon designs are not for us anymore, so we just accept it and move on
