fumos are pretty cute
random shitpost I did for a friend that I spent way too long on and want to drop here so I can look back in a few years and chuckle

Looping #blender thingie with truchet tiles
Came out ok. I wanted to make it fancier lighting/shaders but I think simple is key in these.
Might come back with a different tileset. would be cool

I like my dumb solution for an "elastic" bouncing curve without wanting to implement the math. Just a vibe of "does it feel bouncy enough"

Silly looping animation inspired by posts from x.com/etiennejcb

Made in blender's geo nodes to try to take away some loop techniques from their work in processing language.

Gonna work on making it more visually interesting but happy with poc

Quick silly safety dance render in #blender
Now we can dance 🕺

Another "quick" render. Spent more time on this messing with doing all the math by hand instead of keyframing stuff. Math kinda annoying sometimes...
Low quality cause laptop render but I think it kinda fit the aesthetic well.

Node setup for all of the above

Saw a post on #blender reddit and got nerdsniped by it. Ended up making this as a copy. Was quick fun

Added a moving background to some drawing by @cookin.bsky.social . Nothing special, just having some fun when idea popped in head

node setup, the 2 scales are just to prevent it from blowing up in size which was an issue that I'm not sure why but I guess that'll be the dt element

here's a thing. I could have spent more time sprucing it up, but I really was just trying a thing to get the attractor (gold thing) to generate properly. Ended up with a simple method for geometry nodes I guess and saving it so I can use it again later cause it definitely looks cool.

Quick take on audio viz from blendercon presentation by @mhodgetts3 (twitter). I used some AI service to split audio (candy boy by trendD, only fun kpop thing I know) into separate tracks to work with so not the best quality but was fun to play with.

lack of "scarecrow" but running out of time on these so gonna end up being pretty low quality for the last few of them. Really just trying to complete event out instead of polishing each one to me being happy with them.

Meiwing launches an "expedition" to the top of the rock!
meiling model by @gasto-projecteur.bsky.social
Had some fun generating the rock, it's just a few base faces but lots of procedural work. Sky looks like shit but w/e, was fun for a day.

"rust" but it ended looking more like patties. Kinda low effort one because I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do for this.
Quick geo nodes setup with prox

For "camp", you can see a faint outline of a camp (with candles I guess?). Spent more learning about render passes and messing with individual compositing steps. Powerful things but couldn't develop a scene more. Useful to blow out the candle bloom though so kinda cool.

Plush + scans are @gasto-projecteur.bsky.social
Today was "rhinoceros" but screw that so went for something completely random. Mainly did this for learning more about camera angles + changes but apparently, planning the scene is also much more important. Lesson learnt.

Starting on day 20 on bsky so I guess this is "uncharted" territory. Just as meiwing found some civilization I guess? idk. I didn't put much detail into BG cause I thought the blur would be blurrier but I didn't wanna squish it more. Cool idea though, should do it again
