I don't know the Americans enough for that. But for sure a sizeable part of them will still back up Trump at that moment. That will be the hardcore supporters, the most dangerous ones, those that no amount of exposition to truth will make them realize how conned they have been or how bad he is.

Will he react like Ceaucescu and try to flee? Or will he react like a deranged dictator ordering both the army and his "well-regulated militias" to open fire on the protestors?
As for the GOP, they are now so compromised that none of them will dare oppose him.
