I've been saying this. it's why so many big companies' execs are pushing AI tools. the only thing it's half-decent at is writing emails that aren't important, and that's all these people do, so they assume it's revolutionary.

We almost gave our son the middle name Ignatius! It's literally the only male name in the last ~5 generations of both our families that isn't either boring or still painfully old-fashioned.

I think he genuinely doesn't understand the purpose of protectionism, I suspect he encountered the phrase "trade deficit", drew a dumb conclusion about what it means, then decided the solution to the problem he invented was tariffs

They're for lumberjacks. They'd either keep both bits sharp so they could chop more before needing to resharpen, or keep one bit sharp and one duller but with a stouter edge geometry for hacking through roots and burls and suchlike

imo the combat holds up better than most of the infinity engine games but that isn't saying much. I still go and luxuriate in the dialogue from time to time though.
