Jason’s entire vibe is showing up uninvited and ruining someone’s summer, yet SO many people after the last 16 years have a hard time grasping that, it boggles my mind. Jason works because he’s simple: getaway, lake, teenagers, chaos. That’s the formula.

The whole idea of a ‘Jason Universe’ is honestly terrible. Jason isn’t a character you build an empire around, he’s a force of nature. The more you explain him, expand him, or spin him off, the less scary and interesting he becomes. And this is coming from someone who adores JGTH and JASON X.
