Mobile Suit Gundam 00

It's a mech series that delves into the horrors of war, colonization and the aftermath of both. It's also a riff on the geopolitics post-911. Oh and the main character is middle-eastern.

We followed it up with kits hunting companion Kaji, (it/she) who is a sentient feral fox yokai who hides her sentience to all but Reina.
Kaji Akabane, (it/she) a sentient fox yokai who acts as Reina's hunting companion. She has 3 tails, a third eye, clumps of fur that resembles feathers on her shoulders, and swirly patterns on her shoulders and thighs. She carries a pendant on her neck, and a sling across her chest, the back of which a large hunting dagger is mounted. She wears shin and arm-guards made of hardened leather, as well as leather armor on her hands and feet.
