If the new charger won't work, you may have to replace the battery. Just be careful and order the right battery for your make and model. I replaced the battery on my laptop, but it had a slight difference in the outer shell. I practically had to force it in place.

I've read some of his books, but only seen the IT movies, not read the book. I did hear of that part of the story (which IS distateful, to say the least)
