sometimes a wave of sadness and a feeling of unexplainable dread hits me. and then i remember kirby and remember i have a reason to live. to see his joy. his smile. see him wave at the camera. he brings me so much joy i cant explain. i feel the need to squish him he makes me so happy by him existing

Since it’s #PortfolioDay I wanted to post some of my art. I wouldn’t call myself the most talented (not by miles), but why not throw in a few of my drawings?
I’ve been doing a lot of traditional doodles in class, but I love creating monster designs and such a lot. Goofy little guys are also fun.

My first actually finished Miku drawing :D
I think it turned out pretty okay, especially proud of the hair
Kind of a lighting/shading and main focus test to see if I can get it right. If I can improve anything, I’m always open to hear some feedback/advice :3

Lampert: Why are you staring at me? Folly: You are a lamp, so you must have a lightbulb under that shade of yours. I’m rather curious to see it. Lampert: … Fine Lampert takes off his lamp shade, revealing the lightbulb under it. Folly looks a little weirded-out by the sight. Folly: Put it back on.

Doodle that turned into a drawing of this plush I got from the Aquarium on Wednesday for my brother’s birthday. I really like how it turned out. I think the one with a lot of stuff in it is good, but the less busy one is my favorite

Some character concepts I came up with a bit ago, got inspired by Sarah & Duck and Peg + Cat
A drawing concept of a ragdoll character — Who is stitched together, has stripped tights, and a shoe missing on her right foot —standing to the right of a ghost character — Who has no pupils, and seems to have a sheet over it, it also has some horns as well. There are 4 drawings of some eyes belonging to the ragdoll, one of surprise having “!” pupils and one of confusion having “?” pupils. There is some writing in the top left corner saying: “Lacy Concept 2 (Ghost)”. A concept sketch of a Satyr character. They have their hands on their hips and are looking to the camera. They’re wearing a very large sweatshirt that goes down to their legs, and a skirt that ends just above their knees. They have a long tail that’s very fluffy at the end. They have horns that haven’t grown out much, but would curl around their ear that sticks out to the side and looks like a goat or sheep ear. They have goat-like legs that are more pointy at the end. The text in the top left corner is a list that says: “*Satyr, *Non-Binary, *lesbian, *10yrs old, *one-sided rivalry w/Lacey, *Sassy, *eventually grows a crush on Lacey”. An earlier concept of the ragdoll character, Lacey. It looks pretty much the same as her earlier sketch, just less detailed. This shows 3 sketches: One of the character, one of their outfit, and one of a simplified way of drawing her hair. The outfit is of a stitched up dress shirt with large sleeves, a square neck, sleeveless dress with a button in the middle of the chest, striped tights, and simple black shoes. The text in the top right says: “*Ragdoll, *Stitched-look, *small, *Doesn’t like messy things, *Usually carries Wyrm on their shoulder, *Curious & often confused, *10yrs old”. A sketch of a tiny and skinny lindworm dragon, probably a baby. It’s horns are barely growing in, and it’s meant to be fluffy-looking. A second drawing shows a simple drawing of Lacey, seeming surprised or excited about something. The lindworm is sharing a similar expression, wrapped around Lacey’s body to look over her shoulder. The text in the top right says: “*Lindworm, *Wyrm (Name), *Cold color scheme, *≈5 or so (maybe younger)”.
