The whole arrangement at the aft looks much more like a docking port to me, and even has a similar shape to DS9's port. My guess is that it was initially designed to dock aftwards, but this was changed after the model was already built. www.ex-astris-scientia.org/scans/drex/d...

Night Watch hits the scene each evening starting at 6pm and running up until midnight. Previous editions have been full of arts and crafts, auspicious adventures, and Beyblade. Who knows what they'll get up to this year, but we'll all find out starting on November 14th!

They can often be a way of giving a sense that the player character is being constantly watched from many angles, much like shots in horror movies that might be from the POV of something watching or might not, that ambiguity increasing the unease and tension.
