He/Him. Denver, CO.
I survive through heavy doses of sarcasm. Typically post about hiking/camping, books, my dogs, and of course my hot takes on current events.
As someone that already loved beavers, this book was great! Goldfarb gave me even more reasons to love nature's engineers. #bookSky #beavers

Saw some fun wildlife out on the water today to cap off a great vacation. First time seeing dolphins and manatees!

Call me crazy but it seems this 22 year old guy maybe isn't doing a great job preventing terrorism.

I mean, they clearly wanted those premiums to go up. Why would you get in the way of what they voted for?

A powerful read. Coates did a wonderful job of shining a light on what it truly means to be a black man in America. The daily struggle that is the direct result of our failures as a society to address the evils of our past. #booksky

Wow, he must have said some very inappropriate and vulgar things!....

.... Wait, that's all he said and they cancelled him for it?

"Officials said there was no evidence of foul play."

Bullshit. The police are complicit just as they were back in the heyday of lynching. MAGA just itching for it to come back into vogue to pose with the victims' bodies.

Just finished this fun and enlightening read, "Dinner with King Tut". Kean did a great job of highlighting that ancient people were just that, people. Just as capable, intelligent and fallible as we are. Highly recommend! #BookSky

Just finished reading Elie Wiesel's "Night". What a powerful book that is almost scarier in the context of our current political landscape.

"The Germans were already in our town, the Fascists were already in power, the verdict was already out—and the Jews of Sighet were still smiling."

Hiking, hot springs and solitude on the Western Slope. A perfect long weekend back in my old stomping crowds where I got my start working on parks.

Quick read for what turned out to be a rainy afternoon yesterday at 11,000ft in the Rockies. Jam-packed with important information and did a great job of focusing on current political events through a historical lens. On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century by Timothy Snyder #BookSky

Leaving in the morning to backpack in the mountains for a few days. Nothing but walking, fishing and photography, miles away from the nearest human. Could only be made better if I came back to good news.
