I just moved and tried connecting with folks on CL for some furniture. Every item i replied about was never followed up on. It was weird. I did end up connecting on FB marketplace with someone who sold me furniture, and it was easy. I have mixed feelings about leaving meta for good.

I too have felt absolutely powerless, small, and victimized by what I am witnessing from my small corner of the world. It is only natural. BUT it is not the whole story. It is not the END of the story. There are people who want to continue their work for the good of all. They and YOU have power.

There have been many moments of resistance that are simply forgotten about because they were successful and drove the threat back. It is wise to fill our minds with stories of small victories, and not fall into the pit of despair.
