If there are two countries getting pounded this cyclone season in the southern belt, they are Madagascar and Australia; with the sad difference that Madagascar has far less leverage against disasters… u.u

Lemon came to sign during the afternoon, he did not came with its flock which is weird. Maybe they were not around today? or they moved due to the last low temperatures and Lemon is the first to come back after the weather got warmer!

Look! an arrow shaped Micrathena making a nest for its little cuties! Last time, I had to move a leaf filled with spider babies because I almost drowned them while watering the plants.

I took this pic some weeks ago when they were making their nests!

Remember when I said that the northern tropical belt was finally closing out its season? Well… we have the third storm of the official season (including Koto, which ended on December 2).

One thing that is increasing here is what has been happening for years in x/Facebook/ig/etc

fake accounts, reposting political stuff (which seems adapted to you), trying to get your follows or likes, weird accounts with sexy pics that I assume are used to slowly hoard users… 🤦

The cold front has come to the gulf arch (USA/MEX/CUBA) and look at that cloud area bringing cold weather from there cross between Newfundland & Labrador to the border between Veracruz & Puebla.

That is around ~5000km, more or less the same distance from South Portugal to the Ural Mountains 😬!
January 25, 2026 at 7:55 PM
Welp! at this rate we might have two tropical storms in the northern belt during winter season.

Remember, people, just because it appears to have a real picture doesn’t mean anything… 🤦

US army sargent Henry Garcia video talking about the scammers using their profile pictures online:

P.S. There are many of these ones lately (male and female)

Is pass storm season in the North Pacific and it is not abnormal per se, but the west of the northern tropical belt is highly active when the season hasn't officially started yet...

Below the equator on the other side, they went north on their season (pun intended)

Water temperature, is another history… the gulf is swim and surf ready, the problem is the air temperature.
January 19, 2026 at 2:22 AM
Keep saying it, the damn pacific it’s still warm as hell to be January… ( that is why we have a tropical storm at the Philippines ).

Which explains why the left side of the subcontinent is freezing while the west is… yeah! let’s go for an ice cream!

More water birds from several days ago! The cormorants are friendly as always, and the american white ibises are slightly shyer than usual! In this case, we have a juvenile Double crested Cormorant (brown one), an adult Neotropic Cormorant (the black one), and juvenile ibises (hundreds!).

Whoops, the South Pacific and South Indian oceans are fully in cyclone and typhoon season in the south, but even more incredible, the northern belt has woken up… with a tropical storm moving toward the Philippines in January!
January 16, 2026 at 6:25 PM
Couple of days ago, in the Gulf region, I saw many juvenile wood storks and juvenile other coastal/sea birds. Among them, I also saw a good number of juvenile gulls, like these young Laughing Gulls, as well as an adult ❤️🌊!

Not the nicest pics but have to ask permission to get the cam...

This is a nice feature for many people around here 🌊!

*P.S. Not really… not starting one.
