Spicy Romance Author and Avid Reader here. Contemporary RomComs and Fantasy Romance here. M/f and F/F pairings, disability rep in some, queer rep in most. Working on finishing my Romantasy trilogy and putting out book 2 in my RomCom series this year.

We grab jackets and shoes and get in my old Hyundai—Terri calls driver—and head into town. I turn on the radio to some classic rock, but my phone rings, so I turn it down. Looking at the screen, I see it's my brother, Ben. A pang of guilt in my gut reminds me I haven't spoken to him all week. I hope everything is okay. I really need to be more on top of things with him. Avoiding him because I feel like I'm never doing enough, doesn’t help either of us. But, I just don’t know what else to do sometimes. I know that's super shitty. Ever since my mom passed away, leaving me in charge of my brother's care, nothing about his situation sits right with me. He shouldn't even be in a group home. Family cares for family. But thinking about it, I feel guilty and spiral into a vortex worrying if we're doing the right thing, or what we should be doing. And then I don't talk to him for days. Sometimes weeks. I really am a shitty brother. "You gonna answer?" Terry asks. Shit. "Hello, Benny Boy." I answer. "What are you doing?" he asks, without even greeting me back. "Heading into Greenswald with Terry. I've got a therapy appointment, and then we're going to grab some dinner somewhere Terry can watch baseball." "Let's go Mets." Ben cheers. He doesn't really care about baseball, but he knows the Mets are Terry's team and he loves relating to people, so he has a Mets banner on his wall, and a shirt that he wears if he knows he will see Terry. "Why? What’s up? Do you need anything? We could swing into Ashburg and get you something."

Almost once per day in a few sapphic books groups I'm in, I see requests for 4th wing but make it F/F. And usually there's 2-3 book recs and that's it. Seriously tempted to drop all my WIPs and write a f/f dragon rider fantasy romance.... Would you read that?

I've been stuck in the editing phase of my book for 2 years now... I changed enough in the beginning that it means changing every single chapter after. I think it's harder to edit because I'm trying to fit what I already wrote to what I changed... I may just need to start over from scratch. FML

Something you may not know about indie books and Amazon. There is no way to make your book free unless you are in ku, and then you can make it free once every 3 months. This means, for "wide" books it is hard to do short free promo. it's a process to convince Amazon to price match your book to $0
