They look great and the pompoms add a lovely touch of fun and whimsy.

The temptation to keep that one was strong. Making a second one helped me get it out of my system. I do not need another hat for myself.

Sounds to me like you take credit for mastering it, see that as a gift of learning, and then find something you enjoy doing instead. Life is too short for miserable knitting experiences.

Yep! An imax theater. It was a great experience. The place was almost empty because it was a Monday afternoon. Excellent use of a day off for the first day of school!
