There are legit reasons (within reason) to implement AI when it benefits the cause and is used an as "aid". But let's not turn this into another cancel culture situation. People are underestimating the the work that goes into games and if there are ways to cut costs and lower selling price, let's go

Imagine a world where content was only on physical media/hardware without the means of ripping , streaming or downloading and we actually owned the product we spent the money on. Studios exploiting ways to undermine consumers with digital content that they can't possibly own surely did backfire.
