To say I'm fucking furious would be a colossal understatement, and it has not been helped by estate agents and solicitors who have been actively hiding this information for as long as possible. It's a crooked industry that desperately needs regulation and reform.

The first buyers in a chain of 7 properties, initially agreed in September 2024, have inexplicably decided to re-apply for a mortgage on the back of marginally lower rates, delaying the whole exchange by at least 3 weeks and risking delaying completion into April, raising everyone's SDLT by 000's.

I'm all for rehabilitation, but violent offenders that lie about the extent of their crime should not be MPs, and if he hadn't lied, there's a good chance he would have lost the election. It's disgraceful behaviour and should rightly be vilified every time he speaks

So you're saying Starmer let slip there was an IHT charge coming but DIDN'T also say that land could still be transferred in the usual way? It makes zero sense.
