"I've been fighting gravity since I was 2".
The fact that he's not on drugs shocks me. I can't think of another way to explain how resilient his body seems.

I love Darby, but he's gonna be in a wheelchair by the time he's 40. He takes so many chances that it's scary sometimes. Every time he gets thrown down a flight of stairs, I flinch.

If WWE put on 10 match PLEs, I might tune in again, but then you gotta take those ad packages into account. As well as all the celebrities in the crowd that they have to point out.

Ten matches that are 5-10 mins each, a couple promos, plus ads would probably fill out a PLE.

That sounds awful.

Sure, they get crazy. That being said, a lot of that blood is from blading. Something that a wrestler usually does themselves unless it's a deathmatch like GCW or ICW NHB put on.

The most dangerous stunt AEW has done was Darby going through the glass during Sting's last match.

It could be a worse.

So he's gonna stink up the next V/H/S movie? Cool. I can skip that one.

A million ads and long winded promos are hard to watch.
January 8, 2026 at 2:34 PM
That promo was awesome. I don't speak a lick of Spanish, but I know Hanger was speaking from the heart. Reading the subtitles after it was uploaded to YouTube confirmed that.

We're both Virginia boys, so I feel like I have some sort of vague connection with him.
January 8, 2026 at 2:33 PM
For sure. At least we know where Brody and Hanger stand. In an industry known for it's conservative right-wing conspiracy nuts, it's nice when there are outspoken people on the other end of the spectrum.

Sucks he only did it once. In Mexico. He couldn't get away with it in the States. Wish he could though.

In terms of numbers, they're approaching nWo territory, except the DCF is way more interesting and has way better talent.

Plus, the nWo didn't have Don Callis.

I'd say this is about right. It was a decent show, but nothing special. I loved the main event though.

Especially Wheeler Yuta. The guy has "little brother who your mom told you to take with you" energy.

He's not intimidating at all. No wonder he eats a majority of the pins in tag matches.

Imagine a whole European tour. Europe deserves more high quality wrestling.
January 8, 2026 at 10:07 AM
An 1500mg edible will do that.
January 8, 2026 at 8:29 AM
He's a fucking dork. Who in the hell still pays attention to anything he has to say?
January 8, 2026 at 8:28 AM
AEW has been a little confusing lately. I'm still here for it, but some of the choices they've made are a little questionable.
January 8, 2026 at 8:24 AM
The vignette was definitely a good way to push Brody as a singles guy.
January 8, 2026 at 8:23 AM
This. 100%.

God's Hate isn't my kind of heavy music, but mad respect to him for fronting a band like God's Hate and also wrestling. Although I think he's on hiatus from the band.
January 8, 2026 at 8:18 AM
I get that they're partners, but NJPW letting anyone else use NJPW footage is crazy to me. They're so protective of their stuff.

They should just use a Collision to air Tanahashi's retirement match and retirement ceremony. I'd watch it again.
January 8, 2026 at 7:01 AM
At this point, does that surprise you?

I don't watch WWE so I can't comment on the current product, but from what I've seen, it's not anything to write home about.

Regardless of the booking, AEW always delivers when it comes to matches. Which is why I watch WRESTLING. For the WRESTLING.
