The praying mantis thing is definitely about eating men hahaha, but I picked an orchid mantis both for the soft color scheme and the fact that it disguises itself as a beautiful flower to hide its deadliness. Her father is an orchid mantis Sinner and her mother is a hummingbird Goetia 💜

Daphne (in her original Sinner form) came to be when my friends and I were talking--we knew she was a killer who butchered and ate her shitty husband, so a praying mantis Sinner made sense. It wasn't til a little later that we set her life on Earth in 1600s New England! Goetia Daph is another story
