It's so weird having a lightened load of financial paranoia. Like, knowing that I can buy that thing I don't necessarily need is just so freeing

Managed about 1000 words in two days. Was worried with my new position that I wouldn't have the physical or mental energy to write anymore. Seems that's not the case 😊 #amwriting

So the point of rewriting my first draft was to cut redundant or rambling writing to get to the exciting stuff faster but so far, despite a lot of words changing, I have not managed to cut my word count at all ... Only 6k in but odds are not looking good...

I'm so close to doing something so out of character: posting a chapter of a serial on RR without having drafted/outlined past ch 2. Never done serials. Never shared work so early in the process.

Not really sure the way forward with a self pub career. Still working through projects in the query trenches, but working on selfpub projects isn't something I have time for anymore. I'm so grateful for the huge promotion I got, but I feel like I'm forced to leave a part of myself behind. 😢

I'm a picky reader, I admit it. But every one of my favorite books has something in common: a world that feels lived in. It completely changes the reading experience. No info dumps. No choppy world building and inconsistencies. A world that is so familiar to author and characters it feels real.✨

Doing a rewrite of my magic martial arts WIP for 2nd draft and I can't help but gawk over it. The 1st draft is full of flaws and probs, but these characters are so incredible, the plot came together seamlessly(thanks brain for unintentional foreshadow) and I just love it so much 🥹
