Thank you for saying this. Let’s resist, speak out, use our voices and influence but it will not help the cause for us to become as unreasonable and mean-spirited as they can be. We want people to change their mind and they won’t do it if they feel shamed and belittled in every interaction.

Maybe so they decide to go elsewhere out of desperation but none of them have the money to buy plane tickets to leave so they will just be here living in extreme poverty. Again-the cruelty is the point. How any follower of Christ could align with these people just blows my mind.

This is outrageous and blatantly cruel. I helped resettle a refugee family from Afghanistan and I can’t imagine if they had been cut off from assistance within the first 3 months. This family now owns their own home and the dad earns his living as a truck driver but they need much support at first.
