If you have or know someone who benefits from Medicaid funding, please consider sharing their story with your elected officials and ask them very kindly to refuse any Medicaid defunding or reduction. I'm not kidding when people's literal lives depend on this - and Henry is one of them.

No one to care for them. It's horrifying to even think about.

Restricting this funding at all will devastate hundreds of thousands of people like Henry who will have nowhere to go. Elderly parents attempting to care for a full grown adult who cannot care for themself when they physically cannot do that. Nowhere to go when those parents eventually die.

Bishop Budde showed immense bravery on Monday - speaking truth to power unapologetically. I hope to remain firm for what is right w/o sacrificing my mental health & sanity so we come out of this dark time stronger, braver, confident in truth, love & solidarity with those we are called to fight for.

Whether you have a faith or not; whatever your political leanings; we all can benefit from these words of faith, justice, social work, and solidarity that are moving me deeply - realizing the internal work I've been doing over these past few years ago boils down to being brave.
