Often times breaking the cycle is a lot like planting trees, you won't get to experience the shade but the generation that follows will. This was a nice reminder that it's not easy but it's worth it.

It struck me that all of our struggles to break the cycle as led to this moment. My husband and I have created a household where fighting is not only not normal but unacceptable.
