For months, Mayor Frey was campaigning on his promise that the City would not cooperate with ICE under his watch.
But when masked ICE agents with assault rifles showed up on the corner of Lake and Bloomington on June 3rd, MPD was on the scene to assist with crowd control.

Can we stop pretending DSA is a separate political party and not just a national membership organization that endorses candidates like basically all membership organizations? Conservative DFLers who want to ban DSA-endorsed candidates, but not Sierra Club-endorsed candidates are bad faith actors.
Will the Minneapolis DFL endorse a democratic socialist for mayor? It could happen Saturday.
The city’s DFL convention will pit democratic socialist state Sen. Omar Fateh against Mayor Jacob Frey.
