I hear ICE is deputizing a bunch of newbies, probably vetted mostly for MAGA loyalty and not much else. Won't be surprised if some of them straight up commit armed robberies by power of their uniforms. That's typical in fascist regimes.

Sure, but it isn't like a Dem administration was going to hurt them in any meaningful way. They seemed genuinely surprised by the tariffs, even though he yammered about them constantly. It reads to me like they're all greedy idiots dressed up like experts and that lie has finally been exposed.

I kind of get that, but from what I've read, there's no clear alternative waiting in the wings to replace the dollar as the global standard. Wouldn't they prefer to avoid such total chaos?
