Research cuts have impacted other health areas, including cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, infectious diseases, programs for pancreatic, lung, & kidney cancer.

This is why cutting longitudinal studies in women’s health prevents ALL of us from learning what could be life saving for so many of us. Public funding and public access to evidence based medicine and research is non-biased and based on high standards and accountability.

Suspending cancer research bc it's funded through the NIH and impacting a bunch of researchers ability to email trial members because they need to make sure it's not DEI is NOT normal. They have gone beyond what is "proper."

McCarthyism: 1. The political practice of publicizing accusations of disloyalty or subversion with insufficient regard to evidence; and 2. The use of methods of investigation and accusation regarded as unfair, in order to suppress opposition.

I'd say the headline pretty much describes what the article speaks to. Was hoping that if NPR lacked complete information that the author of this thread would provide additional information. Otherwise it's criticism just to criticize.
