This was wonderfully cozy; I would have like to see more of Aiden’s growth earlier but he’s a good book boyfriend so it makes up for it 🥰

I need more!
I loved Saeris come in to her own. She was always a badass but now a confident badass. The twists weren’t as smooth but they still felt planned, pushing to the next book. I won’t be surprised if this is a typical trilogy where this is the weakest book

3) Katabasis by RF Kuang - 3/5

This would have been an easy 4+ star if I didn’t spend half the book pissed off at Alice. So stubborn! Her growth is worth it, though I think Peter may be the true center of the story.

2) Good Spirits by BK Borison - 5/5

Blubbering like an idiot at the end? Must be 5 stars. Of course I knew we were gonna get there but I didn’t expect exactly HOW we got there. Perfect cozy start to the holiday season

1) Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by VE Schwab - 3.5/5

This took me a bit to get into but once it became less of Sabine’s POV, it really sucked me in. Alice is our tragic hero but somehow this is all Lottie’s story to tell and she’s the character who made it for me

Perfect grumpy MMC per usual. I saw someone mention that Ali Hazelwood writes the same man in different fonts but damn if I don’t love them all the same and Serena is the funniest FMC I think I’ve read since Bride

1) Betwitchingly Hers by Jennifer Chipman - 3/5

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first two, I wasn’t as connected to Eryne, but this is still one of my favorite universes. Super cute!
