No, one of them felt what they were doing was legal, and they would be protected by the state. The other knows they are doing wrong and will hide their faces as the state will not protect them in the future.

Tony, Peta, keep up the good work, your country needs you to maintain the course, ignore the nay sayers especially in the lead up to the next 3 elections. Hopefully coming out the other side the Liberal party you leave is a smouldering husk, relegated to the fringe of politics for a generation.

Not me but my Catholic Bavarian German grandfather, survived WW2 mostly deployed on the Soviet front, wondering why he was spared.
Moves to Australia after the war, wanted to marry an Anglican (Episcopalian) but the church here threatened excommunication if he did.
He chose Love over religion.
