I still think about this photo of what I can only describe as a McDonalds crime scene
Photo of an empty McDonalds in Hannover main station at 6 am. There are three self-order kiosks visible, two of which show an "out of order" message while the other one is shut off. The screen of the center one is cracked. The floor and the tables in the background are littered with packaging waste. In front of the table area, there's a makeshift rope tied from what seems like packaging paper, spanning from wall to wall.

Even though I travelled a greater total distance in 2023, my 2024 record includes only regional transportation and a *lot* of time in trains!
I'm grateful to be living in a place and time where travelling is affordable and knows no borders 🚅

Made my access data classifier a lot more robust and now the resulting data is very precise – Here are some diagrams from the (anonymous) access logs from both of my websites that I've been collecting since April 2020.

Malicious requests are by far the most common, making up about 64% of requests, followed by PC (23%), crawler (9%) and smartphone (3.7%) Pie chart showing the browser usage ratio of all requests by real humans. Saluting my noname backpack of seven years that in the end even cable ties and super tape couldn't hold together anymore. I travelled about 40.000 km with it, only by foot and public transport 🫡
