Ranking the ones I've actually played in full. Tough decisions! Feel like even the top spots could shift around on replays. I think I'd rank the first nine games there as 10/10. I really liked Expedition 33 but felt it was a very solid 8/10, feel a bit crazy seeing quite how much praise it's gotten.

Tbf maybe if I actually managed to finish DS1 i'd feel differently about it so i'll reserve full judgement.

Demon's Souls is also better than Dark Souls. There are dozens of us.

Apart from everything else, have they not considered he's probably going to lose his own seat in the next GE? Think that would be embarrassing for a leader.

Kind of agree but it's probably a good idea they do them at the beginning of December, otherwise I think you'd get a lot of people with christmas music at the top every year.

You even see this in things like not claiming to have a favourite book, or the outsized focus on his advisers like Sue Gray or McSweeney. Just an empty vessel who reads opinion polls and asks others what should be done about the numbers he's seeing.

The low-effort take does seem accurate these days. Like there's no inner anchor of what he actually wants to do, how he wants to govern, a vision of society. Just completely reactive. The only consistent thing from the start of his leadership is 'tacking to the right in a way that annoys the base'.

But Steam Sales are sacred!! On a similar note, I wonder if it's different in the USA but I don't get it when they pretend like $60/$70 is the immutable physical price. Do their games never go on discount? Like PS5 games are £70 but you can usually get them for £50-£60 at launch.

Nerrel has an interesting video on this - comments that it's godawful as a remake but fun enough as it's own thing. That said I've still yet to play it, even though I really enjoyed RE2R and RE4R.
