Last week I successfully defended my PhD thesis titled: "Modelling Pollination Ecosystem Services Potential"

Many thanks to everyone who accompanied me on this journey. I am grateful for everything I have learned during this time.
Congratulations to our dear colleague @maltehinsch.bsky.social for successfully defending his #dissertation on 'Modelling Pollination Ecosystem Services Potential-Assessment of habitat suitability for wild bees at regional level with the involvement of stakeholders! Well done! 🐝

How to effectively integrate stakeholders into Model development for ecosystem services and environmental protection?
Our study led by @maltehinsch.bsky.social from @phygeo-luh.bsky.social
explores this.

For wild bees and pollinators, expert knowledge matters. Modelling habitat suitability has rarely been done, and the work by @maltehinsch.bsky.social presents the first assessment for Lower Saxony, Germany.

An important step to understand wild bee biodiversity!

Inspired by @imsieber.bsky.social , I created my own word cloud of my publication content using Scholar Goggler.

Exciting to see transdisciplinarity and transformative are the biggest buzzwords, although my scientific work is mostly on ecosystem services modeling.

Do you also have any surprises?

Last week the 5th #ESP24Europe Conference took place in Wageningen (Netherlands) and I had the opportunity to give a presentation on stakeholder engagement during a regional project.
