Just feels like Trump all over again. Even with proof Farage is a xenophobe, racist, sexist, classist, whatever - it's not going to stop his supporters voting for him. They cheer him just for 'their team' to win. Unless peoples lives get radically better the smears will only convert the choir.

It’s fucked. To get all the way through the GIC referral, wait and multi-specialist diagnosis process, through all those hurdles, up to the finish line (GP) just to be told ‘nah not gonna do that’ is absolutely crushing.
A lot of GPs are like this and patients are powerless.

I looked into her and aside from todays delay-disappointment thing I couldn't find a hint of transphobia. She just seems to think that 'uncertainty' is worse than 'confirmed badness', which is misguided but her heart is in the right place.

They rarely have direct effects, but when things are 'abandoned following strong public opposition' (like road pricing), they form a key, measurable part of that opposition.

I don't see how it practically can be unless they go digging through birth records and the GRA register. For the same reason the EHRC guidance doesn't work - there are just too many practical problems to be worth catering to the vocal hate voter.
