screenshot of in-progress rookanis fanfiction written as follows: “After this,” Victor says, a careful hand tracing over Lucanis’ warm, bare chest. “You will take me home.” “To Antiva,” Lucanis agrees, pressing a kiss against Victor’s jaw, close under his ear. “To Treviso where your brother will fuss over you and my grandmother will reluctantly release the duties of First Talon to me.” “I had a room at the Diamond for a time,” Victor says, hand stilling over Lucanis’ heart. “Would I return there?” “Is that where you want to return?” Lucanis asks. “You could go anywhere.” “That’s not what I mean and you know it.” Lucanis presses another kiss against Victor’s jaw, then on his cheekbone. He kisses across the spray of freckles that live on the bridge of Victor’s nose and blesses the scar that slices through his brow. He treats Victor like he’s precious or divine and it’s lovely but Victor is on a mission here. A curled finger under Lucanis’ chin is all it takes to make him pause. Victor pulls him in for a kiss on the mouth and sighs against him. Here, breathing Lucanis’ air and pressed skin to skin, Victor feels like he’s come home. Still, he has to know. “Do you want me?” He asks, pressing his forehead against Lucanis’. “Would you keep me?”
